Shure Beta 57A

March 11, 2018 by Josue Leave a Comment

In this video I go over the unboxing of the Shure BETA 57A.

It’s a nice mic which retails for around $100. This was my first time purchasing a new dynamic mic. The previous mics I had were used. The reason I went new this time was to avoid the pitfalls of getting something used. For example one of the mics that I purchased used was a RODE Procaster. I felt like it worked well except the person who owned it before used a lot of cologne. So much that the microphone smelled like it. So it got sold. The next used mic I got a little glitch in one of my recordings and I got nervous so I decided to sell it.

I like the sound of this mic and the great thing about it is it’s ability to reject ambient noise.
